You can use tulmas to decorate your home, for example, in curtains or by placing them as decoration in different places.
Tulmas was originally used to decorate hair braids. According to the tulma or the color, a story or some tradition was told and passed down from generation to generation. In Aymara culture, duality is the primary thing, which is why Tulmas come in two, one for each braid and they can also be connected to eachother. Women use tulmas in northern Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and especially in areas inhabited by the largest indigenous peoples such as Aymarat and Quechua.
